Before you get started with EasyReader, make sure your students have access to curriculum materials in a digital, accessible format.
RNIB Bookshare gives you exactly that — with over 1.4 million curriculum-aligned titles ready for students to read directly with EasyReader.
Any student with a print-based disability is eligible, including those who are dyslexic, vision impaired, have ADHD, or are autistic.
First, create an RNIB Bookshare account for your school.
Either click the RNIB link in your EasyReader dashboard, or go to rnibbookshare.org/sign-up and choose a Primary Contact. Approval can take up to five days.
Once your account is approved, the Primary Contact can quickly set up teacher access.
Just log in, go to My Homepage, select Teachers, click Add Teacher, complete the form, and save.
Next, your primary contact or teachers can create logins for your eligible students so they can access their books independently.
From My Homepage, select Learners, then Add New Learner, enter their details, and save.
Students can then log in to RNIB Bookshare directly within EasyReader — giving them the freedom to learn alongside their peers.
Top tip:
Keep your RNIB logins and passwords simple, so students can access their library quickly and confidently.
