In this video, you’ll learn how to control GuideConnect, using the Dolphin Remote.  Before you use the remote, you will first need to plug in the small USB receiver, that accompanies the Dolphin remote, into your device.

The Dolphin Remote contains 3 groups of buttons, which you can use to control GuideConnect. The first group is the large circular pad in the middle of the remote. This allows you to move through the items on screen and select the one you want.

The right edge of the pad, moves you to the next item on the screen. The left edge of the pad, moves you to the previous item. The ‘OK’ button, in the centre of the pad, selects the item and opens a new screen.

The second group is below the circular pad and contains five buttons. The ‘Back’ button, at the top left of the group, moves you back to the previous screen. The ‘Speaker’ button, at the top right of the group, will interrupt and repeat the speech.

The button in the middle of the group, is the Voice Input button. Press and hold the voice input button, to dictate text, in a document or email. GuideConnect will tell you when voice dictation is available, and the green voice input button will appear near the top right of the screen.

Below the Voice Input button are two sets of buttons on the left and right sides of the remote, both with a plus symbol at the top and a minus symbol at the bottom. Press either the ‘Plus’ or ‘Minus’ button on the left side, to increase or decrease the volume. Alternatively, press either the ‘Plus’ or ‘Minus’ buttons on the right side, to increase or decrease the magnification.

The third group of buttons is above the circular pad and contains 4 buttons. The A button, near the top left of the remote, is the ‘Actions’ button, and will open a list of Actions for the screen you are currently using. GuideConnect will tell you when actions are available, and a blue button will appear at the top left corner of the screen.

The B button, near the top right of the remote, is the ‘Help and Information’ button, which will give you help and information about your device, such as notifications, whether you’re connected to the internet, and more. Select the first item in the menu, which is called ‘Help’, to open help for the feature you are currently using.

The home button, at the very top right of the remote, will return you to the main menu. And finally, the Exit button, at the very top left, will open the ‘Exit GuideConnect’ menu at any time.

We hope you enjoy using GuideConnect. And remember, if you need help at any time, visit us online at yourdolphin.com/support, or contact your local dealer.
