We are looking for a dynamic and organised Business Development Manager to join our commercially strong sales team, working in our head office in Worcester, UK. The main purpose of this role is to manage existing channel partnerships and drive new channel business across Europe, suited to someone who enjoys building long term relationships and getting to understand the client’s business and requirements.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, duties include:

  • Deliver sales targets
  • Increase client revenue for new and existing accounts to build a strong order pipeline
  • Regular scheduled and planned activities with channel partners and client influencers to get feedback and share information. Identify any training and support required.
  • Develop a good understanding of client requirements; be their advocate, main point of contact and trusted advisor/industry expert
  • Maintain a good understanding of our software and services, understand what makes them unique to ensure effectively communicating the value to our clients, both technical and non-technical 
  • Deliver software demonstrations/sales webinars via video conferencing and in person. Attend networking opportunities and travel to Europe for business in line with requirements of customers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of our software and to address specific technical questions, issues and requests. Identify and communicate risks, work with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions
  • Use our CRM platform effectively to maintain accurate record of activities and client information. Manage outbound communication to our channel partners
  • Identify influential organisations in key regions and raise Dolphin’s profile with them. Communicate and coordinate with Dolphin’s marketing department to ensure sales and marketing efforts are effective in non-English markets
  • Contribute customer feedback to project teams to help improve Dolphin products and services. Assist with tracking and reporting on competitor activity

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in business development and channel sales. Successful at building client relationships and track record of hitting sales targets
  • A background in Software sales and in particular assistive software is highly desired
  • High level of presentation and negotiation skills. 
  • Experience presenting products or services
  • Proactive, and demonstrates a high level of self-management and initiative. A proficient planner with organisational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts
  • Experience working with different regions. Willingness to travel and ability to organise trips effectively
  • Strong communication skills in written/spoken English. Business-level fluency in other languages would be an advantage.
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
