GuideConnect 1.25 update available

A new update to GuideConnect 1.25 is being rolled out from today.
This update includes a new 'advanced editor' for writing letters and documents, further improvements for documents and emails, plus a range of fixes and improvements.
GuideConnect 1.25 is now available for customers in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Denmark and Sweden with additional language releases to follow. The update is being rolled out exclusively to customers who have an active Premium Plan. New in GuideConnect 1.25
Advanced editor for letters and documents
GuideConnect 1.25 introduces an all-new Advanced Editor for typing letters and documents. This displays text inline with how the letter or document will be printed. The Advanced Editor also includes additional options formatting text in a document by changing the text font, size and colour.
To use the advanced document editor, open the Settings, choose ‘Letters and documents’, select ‘Advanced editor’ and set it to ON.
Further improvements for Documents
Further improvements for the Documents feature in GuideConnect 1.25 include:
- New settings to listen to characters announced in the phonetic alphabet.
- Options to set a custom text size and font when printing a document (note: these options are available when the Advanced Editor is set to OFF).
- Improvements for printing to ensure the print menu lists the paper, envelope and label sizes that are supported by the connected printer.
Improvements for Emails
Improvements for the Email feature in the 1.25 release include:
- A new item in the actions menu to record and attach an audio message to an email.
- An option to 'select all' emails in a folder, making it easier for customers to empty email folders.
- The ability to edit attachments as soon as they are opened from an email and from the 'My saved attachments' list.
- A new option to copy a sender's email address to the clipboard.
Voice Input availability
From the release of GuideConnect 1.25, customers in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will be able to use voice input without an active Premium Plan. For these languages, Dolphin is able to make use of open technology to power the voice input feature. For all other GuideConnect languages, an active Premium Plan is required to use the voice input feature.

How to update to GuideConnect 1.25
GuideConnect 1.25 is exclusively available for all customers with an active Premium Plan.
Updating to the latest version has never been easier. If you are a customer with an active Premium Plan, the 1.25 update will be automatically downloaded while you are using GuideConnect, and then installed the next time you open the program.
Please note - The update to GuideConnect 1.25 will be rolled out to customers in stages over the next few weeks. If you don’t receive the update straight away, please be assured that it’s on its way.
Keep your Premium Plan up to date
You can check whether your Premium Plan is up to date using the menu options in GuideConnect. To do this:
- Open GuideConnect.
- Select ‘Tools’.
- Select ‘About’.
- Select ‘Check my Premium Plan’.
GuideConnect will tell you whether your Premium Plan is active or is due to be renewed.
Keeping your Premium Plan active means you will benefit from:
- Exclusive use of premium features, including accessible video calling and multiple email accounts.
- Regular updates with new features and improvements.
- Priority status with the Dolphin Support Team.
To renew your Premium Plan:
- If you live in the UK, contact the Dolphin team on 01905 754577 and select option 1.
- If you live outside the UK, please contact the company you purchased GuideConnect from.
