Introducing the GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement

This May, we are introducing the new GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement. This replaces the GuideConnect Premium Plan.

An Upgrade Agreement is included for the first twelve months with any new purchase of GuideConnect software.
It provides you with unlimited releases to GuideConnect for those twelve months.

You can also purchase additional Upgrade Agreements to ensure you're covered for longer. These can be purchased for up to five years.

Improvements to Calendars

Requests for additional options for calendar events have been met with a host of new calendar reminders which include repeat events at intervals to suit you. 

You also now have the option to customise repeat appointments in your GuideConnect calendar to meet your own needs.  Handy for regular get-togethers with friends, appointments and ticking off the regular jobs on your to-do list!

 

 

Additional fixes and improvements

The release this May also includes bug fixes and improvements to video calling, emails, letters and documents, the bookshelf, dictation and PDF printing.

 


How to update to GuideConnect May 2024

Updating to the latest version of GuideConnect is easy. If you have an active Upgrade Agreements (formerly Premium Plan) the new release  will automatically download while you are using GuideConnect, it will then install the next time you open GuideConnect. 

Please note - This release will be rolled out to customers in stages over the next few weeks. If you don’t notice any changes straight away, please be assured that it’s on its way this month.

Keep your Upgrade Agreement up to date 

You can check whether your Upgrade Agreement is up to date using the menu options in GuideConnect. To do this: 

  1. Open GuideConnect.
  2. Select ‘Tools’.
  3. Select ‘About’.
  4. Select ‘Check my Upgrade Agreement’. 

GuideConnect will tell you whether your Upgrade Agreement is active or is due to be renewed.

Keeping your Upgrade Agreement active means you will benefit from:

  • The latest releases of GuideConnect, with new features and improvements
  • Support for the latest feature releases in Windows

  • If you live outside the UK, please contact the company you purchased GuideConnect from.
