Access the Reader screen with a screen reader

If you are using a screen reader, the first time you open the Reader screen, you will be asked if you want to use "Screen reader view". Screen reader view optimises the reading experience for people using a screen reader, especially for those wishing to read the text using a Braille display. In this view the book appears in an uncomplicated linear layout with images removed. In this view playback is disabled. Instead, you can read through the book using your screen reader.

You can enable and disable Screen reader view through the "Book options" menu.
