EasyReader Help & Instructions
Change text settings
You can change the format of the text in your book to make it easier to view. You make these changes through the "Text settings" option. The "Text settings" option also includes a "Reset to Defaults" button to enable you to reverse any unwanted changes you have made.
To make changes:
- From the Reader screen, select the "Text settings" button.
- Do any of the following:
- Use the "Text size" slider to increase and decrease the size of the text. The text in the Reader will wrap when the size is increased.
- Use the sliders to change the margins, line spacing and letter spacing around the text.
- Select "Show image description" to make image descriptions visible within a text-based book. This feature is only available in text-only books supporting the EPUB 3 specification, where books may include a description in front of alt-text tagging on images.
- Select "Centre highlight" to lock the position of your highlight in the centre of the screen when reading text-based books. This option is disabled if using "Lines visible".
- Use the "Lines Visible" drop-down to determine how many lines you would like to be visible in a text-based book. You can choose from 1 line, 3 lines, or 5 lines. A black overlay hides the lines outside of the reading position and only your word highlight colour will be used. When using this option, Centre highlight is disabled because the lines are always centred. You also require a Vocalizer TTS voice to use this option on an Android device.
- Select the "Font" drop down to choose a font. Available fonts include dyslexic-friendly fonts.
- Select the "Colour theme" drop down to choose a colour theme or use the colour picker to choose your own colours for the Text, the background, the sentence highlight, and the word highlight
- Go back to your book.
